I got this book yesterday from Amazon, a reprint of a wartime cookery book from The Daily Telegraph. It's got some really interesting and do-able recipes in ti I'm very keen to try, so shall give some of them a go and report back. Lovely little book.
Welcome to another of my ventures, this one about food from the past. We all eat. We all have food memories, of many sorts; I have an interest in food history, and this blog will hopefully be an assortment of information, recipes, experiment and deliciousness (or otherwise) on food from days gone by. I hope to post up recipes that I try and pictures of the results, along with thoughts on the dishes themselves; bit of history behind the recipe, any personal interest in it, that sort of thing. I'd love to read your comments as I go along, so please feel free to post.
